Shri Devkinandan Thakur Ji Maharaj was born on 12th September in the year 1978 in Ohwa Village of Mathura (Birthplace of Lord Krishna) in Uttar Pradesh, India. Born in a Brahmin family, his father Mr. Rajveer Sharma and his mother, both religious and spiritual were believers of Bhagwat Mahapuran. The family was full of joy with his birth as their second child in a family of four sons and two daughters. In childhood he showed signs of his divine insight and greatness. From the age of six he left his home and lived in Shridham Vrindavan where he participated in the famous Rasleela Sansthan of Braj and performed as Lord Krishna and Lord Rama. Since he used to play the role Lord Krishna who is also known as Thakurji, Shri Devkinandan's loved one, his family and his Guruji called him Thakurji. In Shridham Vrindavan he met his spiritual teacher, his Sadhguru, Anant Shri Vibhushit Bhagwat Acharya Purushottam Sharan Shastri Ji. He later received his spiritual initiation under the guru-shishya Parampara as a follower of the Nimbark Sampraday.

Shri Devkinandan Thakurji has attained great spiritual, as well as Vedic knowledge of the divine. When Shri Devkinandan Thakurji was only 13 years old, with the blessings and guidance of his Sadhguru he learned the entire Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran. At the age of 18, Shri Devkinandan Thakurji recited and preached the teachings of Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran at Shri Ram Mandir, Shahdara in Delhi. The attendees were touched by the divinity in the voice and the simple unique manner in which Shri Devkinandan Thakurji delivered his speeches.

  • He established 'Vishwa Shanti Sewa Charitable Trust' in 2006. The trust aims to maintain peace in all the region culturally and economically. It helps poor, disabled and elderly citizens. Aashram activities include preservation of culture, cow sheds, service to orphanchildren, etc. and maintain peace in all communities.

  • Under his leadership, a very beautiful Priyakant Ju temple is built at Shanti Sewa Dham (Vrindavan) which was inaugurated in 2016. This temple is 125 feet tall and very unique in the world because it is built on the structure symbolising lotus flower.
